A complete unknown to the world at large, Lucifer Fawkes is a frontline soldier known as a Keeper in the war against the ever-encroaching darkness brought on by the supernatural. He is a master in the arts of the mystical and occult, hunting down the evils of the world such as demons, vampires, werewolves, ghouls and sorcerers.
He first appeared as Lucifer Fawkes in 2012, in the city of Cosmopolis, but his methods were quite different at the time. Fawkes was more of a typical non-powered vigilante, fighting against mobsters and drug lords, but an incident in 2015 changed all that. He was caught in the middle of a battle between Constable IV and the energy vampire, Cord Nibar. Being shot by Constable IV’s HALO cannon and nearly drained of life by Nibar at the same time transformed him. He turned into some sort of creature of the night himself, partially dead but partially alive. Now, Lucifer Fawkes is a unique being, the Non-Living, which has allowed him to be trained into the supernatural watchdog he is today by the previous Keeper, Charlie Bedlam.
