As Mr. Midnight, James Sprecken was one of the first Mysterymen to appear back in the the 1930′s, along with Constable I, Gibson Dent, Premiere, Liberty Rose and other like-minded individuals.
He spent most of his career partnered with Constable I, fighting mobsters in New York and the surrounding areas. But, as the 30′s were coming to a end, they occasionally joined forces with Gibson Dent and the OSS to fight the growing Nazi threat in America.
During one such case in 1938, Sprecken and Constable I found themselves facing off against a powerful Nazi sorcerer by the name of Kalabus Rex and a mad scientist named Dr. Nucleus. Sprecken and Constable I fought these two to stop their nefarious plans, but not without cost. Constable I was shot and Sprecken was thrown through time, to the year 2025.
Now stuck nearly 100 years into the future (from his point of view), Sprecken has taken up residence in Seattle as a Private Investigator who specializes in the supernatural and bizarre, but he is still quite happy to take down any of the local mobs.
With friends like Lucifer Fawkes, Constable IV, and Dallas McCoy, Sprecken has managed to adjust to this strange new world that faces him, and has become an inspiration to others.

Review:
“There’s a lot to like about Sprecken: Rick Forgus’ art style compares favorably with Bruce Timm of Batman Adventures, and even looks to be drawn on black paper. Forgus articulates action scenes well…”
